- Election of Committee Members
- Here’s the general process we need to follow:
- All Executive members stand down and proceedings are taken over by the Vice President. We don’t have that so it will need to be the Secretary.
- Nominations are heard for all positions and put forward. Nominations can be taken before the AGM and should be sent to the Secretary.
- Everyone votes on:
- President
- TreasurerSecretary
- Committee Member 1 (Regional Rep1)
- Committee Member 2 (Regional Rep2)
5) Motions to be considered Are there any motions to be discussed?
6) General business
- Membership fees – Keep current structure where we have basic and premium membership?
- Basic Membership – Proposed to be $100.
- Premium Membership (For Incorporated societies) – Proposed to be the insurance cost divided by the number of clubs taking part. In 2023 it was 4x $550.57
- Constitution update. New Incorporated Society Act 2022 came into force on the 5 th October 2023. All societies must now re-register and comply with the new rules within 3 years.
- We need to agree what is the current list of rules (WNZ Constitution)
- We need to decide from those rules what needs to be kept and what rules could now be removed.
- We need to include the new rules and then re-register.
- Do we update the current website?
- What would the Domain name Registration and website fees be?
- Host on Squarespace or similar?
- Build new updated simplified website.
- Sail number Database
- Discuss Lifetime numbers and other special honorary numbers
- All clubs should now have updated their members numbers
- iCross check this against WindfoilNZ database and try to keep one list.
- May need to revoke some lower numbers for people who no longer race and keep the lower numbers for active racers.
- WNZ Insurance. John to investigate in August if there would be other providers interested in quoting for the same package. Possibly not tied to Incorporated clubs and possibly reduced annual cost.
- Windsurfing 50 th Birthday event in Auckland – 16 th March.
