All our sports are about gear and growth, development and trying new things.
There are windsports shops scattered around the country. There are also forums to buy and sell gear. The main ways of doing this are Facebook groups or the Trademe platform.
Windsurfing NZ Gear Exchange and Windsurfing Exchange NZ are the two main Facebook groups for buying and selling windsurfing gear, there are other groups for wing foiling and other foiling equipment, and kiting in it’s various format.
Trademe is the main website – windsurfing and winging (which doesn’t have it’s own category yet) are here , otherwise go to Trademe and search for other sports
One of the biggest issues is transporting gear around the country, commercial services are both expensive and also unreliable as they don’t understand the fragility of windsports gear, or can’t cope with the size of some components. Roofspace is a new service which helps people wanting to move the sports gear around to find affordable but also sympathetic transport of difficult items. In addition if you sign up and use the system Windsurfing NZ can benefit as it gets a referral fee from every transfer – a win-win.
